Historical Walsh Bay housed the whaling and trade ports of Sydney. It was colloquially known as the “Hungry Mile” in the depression years. It’s unassuming and humble aesthetic features exposed brick, copper and marble and is the most intimate space for your next event.
The Lotus Dumpling Br began life as a warehouse built in the early 1900’s for the Sydney Port Authority. There are remnants of the past in this rustic space with its polished copper tones and beautifully exposed brickwork. Walsh Bay is where the old transforms into the new.
With an open kitchen, the atmosphere is wild where you can watch the chefs live in action. The service is professional and familiar. Our menu is an altogether modern take on authentic Chinese flavours, while respecting the traditions that underpin the cuisine. We use locally sourced produce and cook with traditional techniques. The restaurant is centered around our famed dumplings, each little parcel delivers a flavour experience.
The wine list selection at The Dumpling Bar embodies the much sought-after dumplings we produce in-house. With easy appeal, with a focus on the aromatic varieties and light reds that are in harmony with our dumplings and Chinese dishes.
This venue can fit a maximum of 30 seated or 45 cocktail style.
